Two nights, two cities, one finale. The Debutante opened in Bangkok on 10 February, then came to Manila on 12 February for their first solo event in the Philippines. Both sold out in minutes, with the uncut last episode on the big screen.

The day
What happened
“The Debutante” was the name given to the finale screenings of GAP: The Series, held in two cities. Bangkok came first, on Friday 10 February 2023 at the Siam Pavalai Royal Grand Theatre in Siam Paragon: a roughly 1,200-seat event with soundcheck and the cast there in person, sponsored by the hair color brand Farger, and its tickets sold out in about eight minutes, VibesMNL reported.
Manila’s came two days later, on Sunday 12 February 2023, the night after the last episode aired in Thailand. Local promoter CDM Entertainment billed it as a fun-filled night of watch party, talk and games, “all happening live with Lady Sam and Mon themselves,” and Freen Sarocha and Becky Armstrong filmed an invitation to Filipino fans. Becky added her own on the day of the announcement: see you very soon, Philippines — mahal kita.

Why it matters
Eight months from guests to headliners
In June 2022 they had stood on this same stage as two names on a festival bill, at the Pinoy BL Festival. Eight months later the Skydome was theirs alone and not nearly big enough. Rappler called it their first solo event in the country; the Manila Bulletin, the day after the tickets went, called them the most talked-about GL couple from Thailand. On 27 February CDM posted a clip from the night in which their management promised a return to a bigger venue, and to two Philippine cities. By July they were playing the Araneta Coliseum.
