IDOLFACTORY · Channel 3 · 2022–2023
GAPทฤษฎีสีชมพู · Pink Theory
The first GL series ever broadcast on Thai national television — and the show that made FreenBecky.
Twelve episodes, one office, and an eight-year gap neither of them planned for. GAP didn't just find an audience; it proved a whole genre could travel, and everything Freen and Becky have made since traces back to it.

Why it mattered
The first of its kind
Before GAP, Girls' Love in Thailand lived online and in the margins. GAP put it on national television at 11pm on Channel 3, and the numbers that followed rewrote what the industry believed was possible.
- 1st GL series ever broadcast on Thai national television
- 0 YouTube views within three months of release
- 0 YouTube views in the first year
- No. 1 Most in-demand show in Thailand, Parrot Analytics, May 2023
The story
Sam & Mon
Years ago, Sam came to Mon's aid. Mon never forgot it. She grows up with Sam as her measure of everything, follows her to the same university, and after graduating applies to the company Sam now runs — expecting the woman she remembers.
What she meets instead is distance. Sam is cold, exacting, untouchable. But Mon keeps showing up, and every wall she gets past changes the shape of what she feels — from admiration into something she has no plan for. Between them sit an eight-year age gap, company rules, social class, Sam's royal descent, and a country still deciding what it will let two women be to each other.
Adapted from the novel GAP by Chao Planoy, the series balances workplace comedy against real emotional stakes. That balance is why it worked.
Freen Sarocha Chankimha
Sam
Samanan “Sam” — sophisticated, exacting, and read by everyone around her as untouchable. Freen plays the authority straight and lets the loneliness show through the cracks: commanding on the surface, and underneath it someone carrying more expectation than she can name.
Becky Armstrong
Mon
Kornkamon “Mon” — warm, stubborn, entirely unwilling to pretend she feels less than she does. Becky gives her a sincerity that makes the persistence land as courage rather than naivety, and she is the reason Sam's world opens at all.

What came after
Everything traces back here
GAP ended in February 2023. In the years since, its two leads have carried a period drama, a space film, a Netflix reboot and a mega-anthology — and the genre it opened up now fills the Thai broadcast schedule.
