The Pinoy BL Festival
Freen and Becky’s first appearance in the Philippines. They flew to Manila as guests of a three-day fan festival, five days after GAP: The Series began filming — and eight months later came back to the same venue as the headliners.

The day
What happened
The Pinoy BL Festival was a three-day gathering at the SM North EDSA Skydome, from 24 to 26 June 2022, celebrating Filipino, Thai and Korean Boys’ Love series and the fan culture around them. Casts from several series were flown in to meet Filipino fans, and Freen and Becky were among the Thai guests, appearing on Saturday 25 June.
At that point they were known to this audience from Secret Crush On You, the first series they appeared in together. GAP: The Series had gone into production only five days earlier and would not air until November. It was their introductory live appearance in the country, in front of a crowd that had come for a whole festival rather than for them.
Why it matters
The first of five trips to Manila
The Philippines became one of FreenBecky’s strongest markets, and this is where it began. Rappler later counted The Debutante as their second show in the country and their first solo one — held in this same Skydome, this time with their names on the ticket. When their April 2024 fan meeting was announced, the Manila Bulletin counted it as their fifth visit. The reach that followed is recorded on the global highlights pages.
