Where it started
Before there was FreenBecky
In February 2022, neither name meant anything outside Thailand. Freen had one lead role behind her, in the 2021 romantic comedy So Fit. Becky had a supporting part in TharnType 2 from 2020. Both had signed to Idol Factory, and both turned up in the same campus comedy — not as the leads, but as two of the friends orbiting them.
The series is Toh's story: an art student whose long-running crush on a basketball star tips from admiring into obsessive, and what happens when the object of it notices. Around that sit the friend group, and inside the friend group sit Kongkwan and Fon.
They weren't written as the point. They became one anyway. Clips of their scenes circulated on their own, cut away from the main plot, and by the time GAP premiered that November the audience already knew what it was watching.

Adapted from Darin's novel STALKER แอบ.หลง.รัก, the series follows Toh, a visual-arts student who has watched Nuea — an engineering major and the campus basketball star — for three years, and the chaos that follows when a party invitation finally puts them in the same room.
It was directed by Cheewin Thanamin Wongskulphat and marked Saint Suppapong Udomkaewkanjana's debut as a co-producer. Channel 3 aired an edited version each Friday; the uncut episodes went to Idol Factory's YouTube channel the same night, which is where most of the international audience watched it.
The announcement alone pushed #SCOYtheseries onto the Thai trending list for days before a single episode aired.
