The premise
A reset, not a sequel
The Reset is a reboot and reimagining of Girl from Nowhere rather than a continuation. It sits in a new universe, tells a standalone story, and this Nanno has never met the characters from the first two seasons.
She still transfers from one private school to the next, and she still finds what everyone else has agreed to bury. Posing as the new student, she turns cruelty back on the people who traffic in it — using their own power, guilt and desire to do it. What changes here is the register: prime time, a wider age rating, and a generation of school-scale horrors that are now filmed, posted and monetized.
The role passes from Chicha Amatayakul, who played Nanno across the first two seasons, to Becky Armstrong.
