It’s already been four years since Khun Sam and Mon got married. Every year on October 22, fans celebrate the anniversary of the iconic wedding of Freen Sarocha’s Sam and Becky Armstrong’s Mon from GAP: The Series, the show that started FreenBecky. And the series they made together is about to cross a line very few Thai dramas ever reach: 1 billion views on YouTube.

Khun Sam and Mon
Freen Sarocha on X
Years before the story starts, Sam came to Mon’s aid, and Mon never forgot it. She grows up measuring everything against Sam, follows her to the same university, and after graduating joins the company Sam now runs, only to find someone cold, exacting and out of reach. Between them sit an eight-year age gap, company rules, social class and Sam’s royal family name. Freen played Sam’s authority straight and let the loneliness show through the cracks; Becky gave Mon a sincerity that made her persistence feel like courage.
Three days before the premiere, Freen thanked fans on X: “Thankyou na ka for supporting us always, we will do our best stay together for a long time na ka.” Four years later, she and Becky are still working side by side.

What GAP meant for the GL community
Before GAP, Girls’ Love in Thailand mostly lived online. GAP became the first GL series ever broadcast on Thai national television, airing Saturday nights at 11 pm on Channel 3, and the numbers that followed changed what the industry believed a GL show could do: 300 million YouTube views within three months, more than 800 million in its first year, and the No. 1 most in-demand show in Thailand in May 2023, according to Parrot Analytics.
It also traveled. GAP trended worldwide week after week, with Latin America showing up in force, which is a big part of why Freen and Becky’s fandom looks the way it does today. For a lot of viewers, it was the first time they saw a love story between two women get a national TV slot and a happy ending, and the genre it opened up now fills the Thai broadcast schedule. What came after
GAP didn’t end with its finale. It got a Japanese dubbed release in September 2024, a full rerun from February to April 2025, and a reunion night for the final episode at Siam Pavalai on April 20, 2025, more than two years after it first aired. Since then, Freen and Becky have led the period drama The Loyal Pin, the space film Uranus2324 and the anthology 4 Elements, while Becky took on Nanno in Girl From Nowhere: The Reset.
Everything they have made since traces back to Khun Sam and Mon. See every title on the filmography page and their story as a pair on the FreenBecky page.
