The summit brought more than 50 speakers and more than 350 guests from over 220 companies to Capella Bangkok on October 19 and 20, to talk about the consumer, cultural and economic forces reshaping luxury across Asia Pacific. Becky’s session on the second day, announced on her FT Live speaker page as her perspective on the global influence of Asian talent, put a Thai actress in the room with the people who run and study the luxury industry.

Fans followed from around the world with #FTLuxuryxBecky, sharing clips and translating her answers into English within minutes.

“Thai talent has so much to offer on the global stage”

Becky spoke openly about her own path, from not being able to read or write in Thai to representing Thai talent abroad:

“Like, I couldn’t read or write in Thai at all, but it took me between 5 and 6 years to overcome that barrier, which sometimes still feels like a challenge. But I have to say I’m super proud, and I feel like Thai talent has so much to offer on the global stage. Whether it’s actresses, actors, behind-the-scenes filmmakers, directors, even sports or up to T-Pop, I feel like there’s so much to offer on the global stage.”

Proud of her work, and new music on the way

Becky also spoke up for Thai culture and the GL industry: “I’m proud of every single project entrusted to me,” she said, from GAP to The Loyal Pin. She also confirmed a full-length solo album and a solo tour starting later this year. Her full quotes are on the event archive page.

On Tod’s, brand partnerships and signing with CAA

Asked about her new role with the Italian house Tod’s and where brand partnerships fit as her career grows, Becky pointed to a bigger step:

Moderator: You became an ambassador for the Italian house Tod’s. How are you thinking about brand partnerships as your career evolves?

Becky: I mean, I would say that signing with CAA for me was a very big step, a step I thought about a lot as well. It’s always been my dream to try international projects and try new things as well, and I was so, so grateful to sign with them because they gave me an opportunity.

Why it matters

To understand the weight of this, start with the Financial Times itself: the world’s most influential business newspaper, read by the people who run the most powerful industries, from the heads of the major luxury houses to the investors who decide where the money goes. It doesn’t cover social media trends or popularity; it covers economic power and who is changing the rules of an industry. Its events arm, FT Live, builds its summits around speakers with something concrete to contribute, and in Bangkok one of them was Becky.

Put plainly, the business world now sees Becky as more than a successful actress. Her career shows a real shift in the industry, and the pieces add up: in April 2026 she became the first Thai actress represented by the Hollywood agency CAA; GAP: The Series has passed 900 million views on YouTube; Girl From Nowhere: The Reset reached Netflix’s global Top 10 and the Top 10 in 67 countries and regions; and since October 2025 she has run her own company, Becky Entertainment. For fans who have followed her from the start, this wasn’t the entertainment industry applauding one of its own. It was the business world giving her a seat at the same table as the most influential leaders in luxury.

Becky’s invitation also came at the end of a record year in luxury. She was named a Tod’s Brand Ambassador in August, the first Thai actress to hold the title, and finished Milan Fashion Week as the No.1 woman for social share of voice at the Tod’s show. As a L’Oréal Paris Brand Ambassador, she was ranked the No.1 celebrity by media impact value at the Cannes Film Festival in May, and at Paris Fashion Week she was No.1 for engagement. The full numbers are on global highlights.

Speaking at a summit run by the Financial Times and Nikkei is a different kind of recognition: not a front-row seat, but a place on the program. Her brands, runways and labels are on her fashion career page, and the posts, press and sources from the day are on the event archive page.
