The day

What happened

Long Live Love! (ลอง ลีฟ เลิฟว์) opened in Thai cinemas on 29 June 2023. Becky Armstrong plays Namo, the daughter of a couple whose marriage is falling apart: Metta, played by Araya A. Hargate, and Sati, played by Sunny Suwanmethanont, who loses his memory in an accident and can re-enter his own photographs. It was directed by Mook Piyakarn Butprasert, her first film as director, and produced by IDF.

On Sunday 2 July, three days into the run, IDF held “Long Live Love — Meet & Greet with Becky” at noon in the Siam Pavalai Royal Grand Theatre on the sixth floor of Siam Paragon, the cinema where the film had held its world premiere in June. Tickets were THB 1,000 and 1,200 through Thai Ticket Major. Fans followed the day under #LongLiveLovewithBecky, alongside #Beckysangels.

Why it matters

Her first film, on her own

Everything before this was a series, a pairing or a brand. Long Live Love! was her first feature, and the role brought her a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the 32nd Suphannahong National Film Awards.
