The day

What happened

C-Verse is Central Retail’s immersive retail platform, an app the company describes as the world’s first of its kind: a 3D world where shoppers make an avatar, move through it and browse photorealistic digital stores such as Tops CLUB. Central Retail invested billions of baht in the platform, and it named Becky Armstrong its brand ambassador.

The launch was held on Monday 3 July 2023 at Beacon 3, CentralWorld, in Bangkok. Fans filled the floor under #CVERSExBecky and #Beckysangels, and Becky invited the room to try the platform. She also filmed commercial material and a dedicated product film for the project.

Why it matters

Retail tech, aimed at Gen Z

A department store group building a metaverse needs someone who can carry it to the audience it is built for. That is what Becky was hired for here: her reach used to bridge traditional retail and a younger, tech-first customer. It sits in the same summer as the Aromagicare arena show and the JUV launch, the stretch where the brand work moved from beauty into places it had not gone before.
