Becky arrived in chic all-black looks that fans quickly nicknamed “boss B style.” Through the night she gave feedback on the 18 trainees’ singing, dancing and chemistry as duos, mixing professional advice with playful moments, like switching to a deeper voice that had the whole studio laughing. A stylist who worked with her that day described her as warm, humble and down-to-earth, and clips of her reactions spread fast under #DUOONEEP5.
Becky on what makes a good partner
Speaking to one of the duos after their song, Becky explained what she looks for in a real partnership:
“[…] when we’re together and we face something difficult, when things get exhausting or seem impossible, we don’t just sit there and feel like we can’t do it anymore. Instead, we look at each other and say, ‘Hey, how are we going to figure this out? How are we going to get through this together?’ That’s what makes a good partner.”

“Honestly, from the very beginning, watching [the two of you], I’ve always felt that you have such a fun energy. No matter what kind of show you’re on, you always make it entertaining. And today, your energies matched each other so well, which made the performance work beautifully. Of course, one of you may have stood out a little more vocally, [one voice] might naturally suit this song a bit better, but you both did such a great job. You turned the song into a story, and that really drew the audience in. I’m sure everyone had a lot of fun watching you both.”

Becky’s message to all the contestants
“Actually, I want everyone to give themselves a hug and tell themselves, ‘Hey, you’ve done a great job. You’ve done such a great job.’ Not everyone can stand here and sing, dance, and perform. Having to change partners, or sometimes work with someone you’re not very close to yet, then having to build that closeness in such a short amount of time, is really impressive.
Sometimes, Beck feels that, okay, winning is one thing, but the opportunity and the experience you have along the way are so much more important. The friendship that I’ve seen while watching all of you throughout this whole time, everyone supporting one another, is so lovely. It’s something you should be very proud of yourselves for. If today is not our day yet, it’s okay. It’s fine. There are still many days ahead of us. I believe you can do it. You’re all amazing.”
