DUO ONE Episode 4 Recap: Freen at the Like Song Stage, Part 2

A new episode of DUO ONE aired today, and Episode 4 brought Part 2 of the Like Song Stage. Freen was back at the Chemistry Icons desk, and this week the stages kept her on her feet.

Becky wasn’t on the show again this week because of other work commitments.

DUO ONE is a chemistry-focused competition. Its 18 trainees perform in pairs, with singing, dancing and acting challenges, and Freen and Becky mentor them as the Chemistry Icons. Public votes through LINE help decide the winners. In Part 2 of the Like Song Stage, more of the trainee pairs showed what they can do together.

The stage that ended with a kiss

The moment everyone is talking about: one duo closed their song with a kiss, and Freen and the judges were left in shock. Once she caught her breath, Freen had a lot to say.

“At the end of the performance, it was like… wow, guys! You absolutely nailed it! You exceeded all expectations, because I was really worried. In the last round, one of you did extremely well, while the other had me pretty anxious. But when the performance ended, it was a huge surprise, because he sang so much better!”

“And the chemistry between you two is fantastic; you can tell you both put in a ton of effort. You work so well together!”

Then the comparisons started.

“Your energy is so similar! It really is, so similar!”

Another judge said the pair felt like they belonged to the same group, and Freen agreed right away: “Yes! You guys did such a great job!” When a fellow judge said it made them want to pick a song for the duo right away, Freen was all in.

“Exactly! It makes me really excited to see their next performance.”

“Let’s start thinking about it for next week!”

Chemistry that keeps growing

Another pair won Freen over with a dance-heavy stage and a rap verse she couldn’t stop smiling at. She called it a stage she really, really likes.

“The chemistry is so cute, and I also feel the naturalness of both of them. I was so surprised, I didn’t know she was so good at dancing, and her partner did great too. The rap verse was super cute for both of them.”

“I see a certain chemistry that can keep evolving even further. No matter what song it is, this pair will be able to perform songs or put on even better shows. So, so cute.”
