How 4 Elements became one of Thai GL’s biggest success stories

4 Elements: The Air, Freen Sarocha and Becky Armstrong, 2026

The 4 Elements anthology set a new bar for Thai GL in 2026 — and the numbers back it up.

Built as four standalone eight-episode series under one banner — The Earth, The Water, The Air and The Fire — 4 Elements was an ambitious bet: a mega-scale GL anthology bringing together some of Thailand’s biggest pairings across a full year of Saturday nights. That bet paid off.

The Air, led by FreenBecky

The third installment, The Air, starred Freen and Becky as an officer and a visiting princess in a political romance. It peaked at 2.3 nationwide among all viewers and 2.8 among women 15+, held the No. 1 spot on Bugaboo.TV across all eight episodes, and reached No. 2 on the iQIYI global chart. Full episode-by-episode figures are tracked on the 4 Elements page.

But the story didn’t stop with The Air. The Fire, the final installment, closed the run with every single episode scoring above 2.0 nationwide — a feat that made 4 Elements the only Thai GL series with two standalone installments each averaging 2.0+ across every episode.

Records that set it apart

Beyond the ratings, the project rewrote several records: the only mega Thai GL series built as four productions under one anthology, the only one to bring together cross-company GL actresses, and the only GL series featuring two OG pairings in a single project. It also crossed over onto the global stage, showcased at the American Film Market in Los Angeles alongside Thailand’s biggest titles.

The Air held No. 1 on Bugaboo.TV across all eight episodes — and The Fire cleared 2.0 nationwide every single week.

Taken together, 4 Elements didn’t just perform — it proved a whole genre could carry a year-long, network-scale event. For the complete ratings archive and every record, visit the 4 Elements page, or see the streaming stats for the wider picture.
