Praew Magazine’s annual inspiration stage, held for charity in the middle of CentralWorld. Freen and Becky took the 5 p.m. slot on opening day, five months after GAP ended and three months before Praew put them on its cover.

The day

What happened

Praew Talk is Praew Magazine’s yearly talk event, built on one line: something one person says may inspire many others. The fourth edition, The Fight Club, ran on 15 and 16 July 2023 on the Central Court stage at CentralWorld. Its theme was the fight itself — public figures telling the story of what they had to push through to get where they are.

Freen Sarocha and Becky Armstrong appeared on the first day, Saturday 15 July, from 17:00, together with a fellow actress from their agency (the third name in the hashtag). Their agency announced the slot that morning and asked fans to start the trend at 16:45 under #PraewTalkxfreenbeckyNam. The session was streamed live, and the full recording is below.

Charity seats150 seats in front of the stage were sold as charity chairs, with the money going to education for children in need.

Why it matters

The magazine that put them on its cover

Praew is one of Thailand’s longest-running women’s magazines, and its talk stage that weekend was shared with politicians, broadcasters, models and executives. An invitation there in July 2023 meant the mainstream had noticed. Three months later Praew made it explicit: issue 999, October 2023, carried “Freen & Becky: The Rising Star 2023” on the cover.
