Becky says she landed the role at an ordinary casting, turning up with no makeup and a cap, and calls Nanno “iconic.” She filmed two series at once, worked with six directors, and found the hardest part was switching off her own compassion, because Nanno smiles at suffering where Becky would ask if someone is okay. If she could write Nanno’s ending, she’d let her find some light and hope.
