HaloOcean · 2026 The Best Asian Rising Star
Freen and Becky both nominated for Best Asian Rising Star
Freen Sarocha and Becky Armstrong are both on HaloOcean's 2026 shortlist for The Best Asian Rising Star — a pan-Asian fan vote where two of thirty nominees come from the same pairing.
The nomination
HaloOcean is a fan-voting platform that runs pan-Asian polls across Thai, Chinese, Korean and Japanese entertainment, with results converted into "screen support" — advertising placements the winning fandom earns for their artist. The Best Asian Rising Star is its headline 2026 poll: thirty nominees from across the region, one vote per account per day, over a window that closed at 20:00 Bangkok time on 3 August 2026.
Freen Sarocha and Becky Armstrong were both named to the shortlist in mid-July, which is the point of this page: in a field of thirty drawn from the whole of Asia, two of the nominees are the same pair. Both finished the voting window inside the top ten — Becky on 416,186 votes and Freen on 392,486, a combined 808,672 votes cast by their fanbases in under three weeks. Those are the kind of numbers we log on Global Highlights, because they are the clearest measure of how organised and how large the two fandoms are when a vote opens.

The nominees
"Rising star" undersells both of them at this point, but the category is about trajectory, and 2026 has been the steepest year either has had.

Why it's a FreenBecky story
They are nominated as individuals, but nobody voting for one of them arrived there alone. Freen and Becky have worked as a pair since Gap in 2022 — through The Loyal Pin, Uranus 2324 and this year's 4 Elements: The Air — and the two fandoms, Freen's and Becky's Angels, vote as one bloc whenever either name is on a ballot. That is why two nominees from a single pairing can both sit in the top ten of a poll spanning the whole continent: it is one audience, counted twice.
The full record of that partnership — every series, the awards they've won together, and the global numbers behind them — is on the FreenBecky page; the complete list of their work, solo and together, is on filmography.
This page will be updated when HaloOcean publishes the final result. Until then it stays exactly what it says: a nomination — and one they share.
