Mint Thailand - FreenBecky
First Dual Digital Cover · October 2024
About this cover
Freen and Becky lit up fall fashion as Mint Thailand’s first dual digital cover stars, flaunting Coach’s Shine Collection. The vibrant shoot later won Mint’s Best Digital Cover of the Year 2024, cementing their award-winning style.
Being chosen as Mint’s first-ever dual digital cover stars was a statement in itself. Dual covers ask something specific of the people on them — not two solo portraits sharing a frame, but a genuine sense of partnership that has to read in a single glance. For FreenBecky, that came naturally. The easy chemistry that made them a phenomenon on screen translates directly to editorial work, where the interplay between them — a shared look, a mirrored pose, an unforced closeness — gives the images a warmth that a solo cover simply cannot manufacture.
The Coach Shine Collection was the perfect vehicle for it. Built around metallics, colour and a sense of celebration, the collection leaned into exactly the kind of high-energy, joyful fashion that suits the pair’s dynamic. The shoot embraced that fully: bold styling, saturated tones and a playfulness that never tipped into gimmick. It read as fashion-forward and fun at once — a rare balance, and one that helped the cover stand out in a crowded year of Thai editorial releases.
What makes the win meaningful is the context around it. By late 2024, FreenBecky were no longer an emerging pairing hoping to be noticed; they were an established force whose every campaign, cover and appearance drew attention. For Mint to build a format-defining moment — its first dual digital cover — around them was a vote of confidence, and the Best Digital Cover of the Year award that followed validated the bet. It positioned the shoot among the standout editorial moments of the year, recognised not just for its styling but for the cultural pull of its subjects.
The cover also proved to be the start of a relationship rather than a one-off. FreenBecky returned to Mint for a second award-winning digital cover, this time in partnership with RIMOWA for the magazine’s Travel Edition — a feature that went on to win Best Digital Cover of the Year in 2025. Two consecutive wins, two years running, turned Mint into one of the defining threads of their editorial journey, and a case study in how the right pairing of talent and brand can produce covers that resonate well beyond their release.
Seen together, the two Mint covers tell a story of momentum. The Coach shoot captured FreenBecky at their most vibrant and celebratory; the RIMOWA follow-up refined that into something more polished and travel-ready. Both won. Both mattered. And both underscore a simple truth about the pair — that their appeal is not confined to the screen, but extends into fashion, luxury and the pages of the magazines that increasingly compete to feature them.
