The Stainราคี
One night, one stain written into a lifetime.
Freen Sarocha plays Namsai in an 18+ supernatural mystery from the team behind Shine — her first horror, and her first role written to unsettle.
The story
Four people and everything under the surface
Malee, a young woman with a dark past, is drawn to an apartment where she has to face memories from her childhood. There she meets Pran — a botanist, a tea-blending master, and the founder of a Thai floral tea brand. Between buried memories and secrets surfacing slowly, the two build something intimate.
It fractures when two more people enter: Asanai, Pran’s only close friend and a magnetic playboy, and Namsai, who appears to be perfect for Pran in every way. Under a beautiful, apparently peaceful surface, love, fear, insecurity and long-buried trauma rise layer by layer — and when the past is finally exposed, a death marks the beginning rather than the end.
Her role
Freen as Namsai
Namsai is a nepo baby turned therapist who, on paper, is everything Pran should want. She arrives as the fourth point of a collapsing square, and the threat she carries isn’t supernatural — it’s that she genuinely fits.
It is Freen’s first horror film and the first role she has played from an antagonistic position. Reviews of the film were mixed, but audiences singled her out: the most-read user review opens by saying so outright.

What is The Stain about?
Malee, a young woman with a dark past, is drawn to an apartment where she must face memories from her childhood. There she meets Pran — a botanist, tea-blending master and founder of a Thai floral tea brand — and the two build something intimate.
It fractures when two more people enter: Asanai, Pran’s only close friend, and Namsai, who seems perfect for him. Beneath a calm surface, love, fear and long-buried trauma surface layer by layer, and when the past is finally exposed, a death marks the beginning rather than the end.
Is The Stain suitable for all audiences?
No — it carries an 18+ rating for violence and profanity, and runs 105 minutes. It is a horror and supernatural mystery, not a romance in the sense her earlier work has been.
