Red Sea International Film Festival 2024

The Red Sea International Film Festival held its fourth edition from 5 to 14 December 2024, for the first time at its new home in Culture Square, in Jeddah’s historic Al Balad district. The festival’s own closing-night release lists Freen Sarocha and Becky Armstrong among the guests at the Yusr Awards ceremony, where two juries chose winners across 14 categories.

It was the festival’s biggest year: 122 films from 85 countries, 6,773 accredited guests and more than 30,000 tickets sold, under the theme of Jeddah as “The New Home of Film.”

Jeddah continued a relationship that began in Cannes that May, where Freen did press panels with the Red Sea International Film Festival and attended its Women In Cinema gala, before she and Becky walked the Cannes red carpet together for the first time. The trip made them the first Thai GL actresses at the Red Sea International Film Festival.
